DISRAELI GEARS
With the closing of the 1970s the already venerable Skylark design took a small, but significant steps forward. The cable clamp was mounted on the outer parallelogram plate - changing the geometry of the gear, as previously the cable clamp was attached to the front knuckle.
This change persists to this day, and somehow, a decade later, enabled what is basically a 1960s design to index accurately and reliably. Spooky.
