This derailleur was produced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of SRAM in 1987. Particular features included an engraved aluminium hanger bolt, a titanium parallelogram spring, sealed bearing pulleys and a CNC machined carbon fibre outer pulley cage plate.

SRAM’s commitment to innovation was demonstrated by the one-to-one actuation and the use of composites in their original ESP 900 model. But with the X-0 they have gone further and introduced a radically new ‘look’ for a derailleur. This has only been carried off a few times; by the Simplex Tour de France, the Campagnolo Gran Sport and by the Suntour Competition. I hope that the X-0 joins that hallowed list.
