Ofmega Mistral grey

The Mistral has its enthusiastic fans - who claim it is made of a ‘hi-tech polymer’ - not ‘plastic’ (like a despised Simplex). It is a genuine, high quality, precision, cycling product, not a futuristic Action Man accessory.

This particular Mistral has an adjustable cable outer stop, 42mm long parallelogram arms (note the small space between the adjustment screws), a steel hanger bolt, a steel sprung-pivot cover and weighs 191g.

Ofmega intended that the grey colour would be the natural fit with bikes equipped with silver equipment, and expected it to be a big seller. Needless to say it turned out to be the least desirable colour - black was more practical and the lurid colours made more of a statement. But I rather liked it.
