In April 1965 Shimano were advertising a derailleur called the Shimano Sportsman. By August 1965 it appeared to have changed name to just be branded Shimano 333, and now by February 1966 it has become the Shimano Archery. The only technical change seems to have been a very minor redesign of the pulley cage plates.

Thankfully, our happy derailleur using couple, despite all these changes, are still sporting their tartan shirts.
