I now think this is a Galli Competizione. I mainly think this because the cable clamp arm is mounted low on the outer parallelogram plate - giving a low actuation ratio. It is a very viable alternative to a Campagnolo Nuovo Record, light, strongly constructed and with clean lines and an welcome absence of Campagnolo’s baroque flourishes.
In terms of the variables that seem to define Galli models, this gold example has:
- an Allen key hanger bolt,
- a B knuckle with a small reinforcing 'gusset' under the cable outer stop,
- an outer parallelogram plate with 'big dots' surrounding the logo, and a low-mounted cable clamp arm, giving a low actuation ratio,
- a straight pulley cage, but without the Galli logo,
- unbranded pulley wheels,
- a hex-head cable clamp bolt.
