These rather impressive and futuristic drawings depict the utterly mundane Simplex S007 GT. They remind me a little of the British Leyland stand at (I think) the 1973 Motor Show. This featured a wall of very impressive concept drawings for their new small family car. The large, colourful, drawings showed a very attractive dynamic, poised, wedge shaped model with interestingly individual detailing. And standing in front of these speedy futuristic drawings was the car itself - the Austin Allegro - soon to be dubbed ‘the flying pig’. You could just about make the connection between the drawings and the car - but it was certainly a stretch.

By 1988, Etablissements Le Simplex S.A.R.L. has morphed in Simplex SA, and the company has moved outside Dijon to Marsannay-la-Cote.
