I believe that there was only one model of derailleur that carried the Transalpino brand. I further believe that this derailleur was designed by Giovanni Mari and Adolfo Mainardi of Casalbuttano near Cremona in Italy. It was probably manufactured by a company called Fratelli Oliani.

The French patent for the design was applied for in March 1950, very close, in time, to the similar, but more famous, Cervino design developed by the Tomasso Nieddu and friends in Torino - a design that ended up being manufactured by Altenburger.
