Super-Simple was the brand name of Eugène Barry, a bicycle shop owner in Moulins, a town in the perfect centre of France.

During the 1930s Eugène Barry developed a number of fork derailleur designs which combined the derailling fork with the chain tensioning arm into a single unit. By reducing the number of components in this way he hoped to make installation... wait for it... super simple.
