You might think that a vast, bicycle powered, country like India would have a resplendent cycle component industry producing a veritable ocean of cheap derailleurs with a particularly Indian flourish. You could even hope for something truly retro like a copy of a Cyclo Benelux Mk7 - the derailleur equivalent of the Hindustan Ambassador.
Alas I can only detect one Indian derailleur manufacturer, Spark Engineering, which makes humble copies of the Shimano Tourney under the Spark and Starlit brands.
